Secure Element Modules
Our Secure Element Module is purpose-built to complement the flight controller with hardware-level security at the core of the drone platform. It handles critical functions such as encryption and decryption, secure key storage and management, device authentication, and secure handshaking between onboard modules and ground systems. By isolating sensitive operations from the main processor, it ensures protection against firmware tampering, cloning, and unauthorized access.
Unlike traditional off-the-shelf secure element chips, our design leverages an FPGA- based security architecture. This allows us to implement a customizable hardware root of trust, cryptographic accelerators, and secure boot logic directly in programmable hardware. The FPGA approach provides greater flexibility, upgradeability, and vendor independence, enabling security features to evolve with emerging threats while maintaining high performance and long-term reliability for mission-critical drone operations.
